Jacob's 11th started out with a delicious (if I do say so myself!) breakfast in bed.
For lunch I checked him out of school to take him to lunch at Los Tacos (a family favorite around here) and Doug surprised him by meeting us there. Being the oldest he might not get a lot of one-on-one attention so it was nice to be able to visit with him and make him feel extra special.
For his birthday dinner he chose Applebee's and it was so fun to have the Fronk family join us. Wyatt Fronk and Jake have grown up together and they are a great pair. I can't believe those boys are 11 now!
The celebration continued on that Sunday when my family came out to have a party for Jake and my niece, Kira who has the same birthday.
(Does being 11=being totally obnoxious and goofy?)
Now that Jake is 11 he joins the Boy Scouts and he needed to get all his gear for that. Aunt Briana gave Jake a tent and Grandma hooked him up with a bunch of camping accessories and of course clothes!
He's been dying for some more Heely's since he ruined his last pair a couple years ago and I scored a pair at Ross for only $17! Yessssss!
He loves to watch the skim boarders at the beach so we thought we'd let him give it a try. Over spring break we headed to the beach and he did awesome on his new board.
Happy birthday, Jake and Kira!

I love the idea of taking a picture with each present. That's a great way to document it so they can remember.
