Last week I received a phone call from Ryan's teacher. She right away said for me not to worry that this call was good news about Ryan (I must've sounded worried to her). She mentioned that Ryan was getting another award on Friday as Student of the Week in her class because he is really excelling as a writer and he has taken it upon himself to go over when he is finished and help out another boy in the class who needs a little extra help. She said that Ryan is very helpful like that continually and I should be very proud of him. After I decided that she indeed called the right house and is truly talking about MY Ryan, I thanked her for telling me those things because a lot of times as parents we don't get to see that side of his personality. That really made my day. Way to go, Ryan!

Last Saturday, Valentine's Day, my mom came out to watch the kids for us while we went down to the temple for our good friends, Aaron and Amberly, sealing. We couldn't leave all 4 kids with a babysitter for that long AND they had basketball games to go to. My mom saved us and the kids had the BEST time with her. The kids played their best games yet (Jacob's team won their 1st game and he scored 6 baskets!) and we got to go to dinner to celebrate V-day with her. Thanks so much, Mom! We love you!
