Catch Up.......................

I figured it out! Yay! I now know how to put pics on my new computer and have a whole organized system for them now. It's a miracle. Here it goes for the first round of catching up.................

I realized that I haven't put up pics of the finished addition. Here is a shot of the downstairs with the lowered ceiling and the table that Doug refinished. He did a fabulous job on it. I need to take a picture of the new bedroom and closet but those weren't clean enough to take a picture of so you'll have to wait =)

Ryan was in his 1st grade play of the book "Stone Soup" this week. He was one of the narrators and did such a good job reading his part. He has just done so well this year in school and I'm so proud of him.

Riley only turned 4 in January (she seems like she's going on 16 most days). We had a great time with Doug's parents visiting at that time and my family came out too. She also had a little party at preschool the week of her birthday which she thought was so fun. It was her first "friends party". So cute. (Disclaimer on her hair: I really do try to keep her hair looking cute and done but after a few hours playing with her cousins, it all went to pot. Don't think I'm a bad mom, please.)

Jacob had his first Pinewood Derby as a cub scout. Doug's dad helped him with the painting and Doug helped him with the cutting. Jake did the rest. Each of the kids got to race 4 times and he came in 1st twice and 2nd twice, which was enough to make the playoffs. He came in 3rd in the playoff's first heat so he didn't move onto the semi-finals but we thought it wasn't too bad for his first try. Good job, Jake!

I love how much you guys do on your own, it is really inspiring. I can't believe I haven't seen the addition yet. I can't wait for those pictures. Your downstairs does look great. Only thing missing is some baby statues, I'd say.

ryan doing the narrating makes sense now. remember a couple weeks ago when the kids were in mom's living room and he was directing everyone? now i know where he developed such a talent. he is going to grow up and be the host of a reality series.
