I know. He is just the sweetest thing ever! I know I'm totally biased, but I think we make pretty cute kids and Joshua is NO exception. He is almost 2 weeks old now and is still a perfect baby. I've never had a newborn who is so content and happy when awake, sleeps all the time, and will sleep longer than 1 to 2 hours at night (most of the time).
My friend Wendy who is the famous "Blue Lily photographer" came over this week and took some pictures of Joshua. She let me have a sneak peek of some of his shots on her blog so of course I had to copy them over to my blog so you all can enjoy them too. Doug's mom came on Monday and has been such a huge help for me. She makes everybody a yummy breakfast every morning, makes lunches for the kids, folds my laundry, irons, makes dinner, plays with the kids, watches the kids while I take them to practice or school, and just plain keeps me company which keeps me from going insane. I get to sleep in while the baby is sleeping and take naps in the day. What in the world will I do when she leaves and have reality hit? I'm starting to have some anxiety of that day arriving shortly.
The kids are all adjusting pretty well to a new baby in the house. Riley struggles a little bit and acts out some but already in the last couple days she's mellowed out again. Doug has a cold so he needs to stay away from Joshua. Hopefully it doesn't get passed on to anybody else. I'm super excited because Doug is going to take me out tonight while his mom is here to watch the kids and I'll get to feel a little bit of normal again!

Wow! I LOVE the pictures! Hopefully it's not too much of a shock when your mother in law leaves....I don't envy you!

Those shots are amazing! He is so dang cute. I hope to see him in person soon. I have had a cold too, so I haven't wanted to come infect your family. As soon as it's gone I'm dropping by (hopefully with treats in hand)! I'll call first!
What a doll baby! Glad that everything is going well for all of you! Don't you love it when a mom comes to help out? How come we can't get as much done as they do?? I don't get it. Ironing? Seriously?? Enjoy!!
