What we're up to.....

Well, I didn't think it could go on this long, but Joshua is still the best baby. He loves to sleep most of the day and does pretty well at night. I wish his sleeping times would last as long as during the day, but at least he goes right back to sleep after he's fed.

Doug's mom left last Thursday and we have really missed her. The kids miss having waffles or French toast for breakfast every morning, but they'll have to settle for the normal cereal for awhile. I'm holding up pretty well emotionally however as you can see from the following pictures, it's a little hard sometimes to keep it together when our house is in remodel mode yet again.
We decided we should put in another room where our vaulted ceiling in the living room and dining room are to give us more room upstairs. We're making that the new master bedroom with a bigger closet and then Jacob and Ryan will move in to our old room. Doug is doing most of the work now himself since the framing out is just about done. All they contractor has left to do is change out the windows.
I'm hoping that we have most of it done before November 2nd when we bless Joshua and have lots of family and friends over. Keep your fingers crossed for me that all goes according to plan :)

I was just telling Greg how blown away I am by how hands on you two are with your house. And how far you've taken it - you really have a beautiful home.

p.s. Joshua is a beautiful baby, and you are way too hot (in general, but specifically for having a newborn baby).

It'll be so worth it in the end... but I can't even imagine the stress of having your home torn apart! Good thing it's going quickly...

Kristen,
How exicting to have a new little spirit in you home. How wonderful to have you Mother-in-law there for all of you. Joshua is so adorable. Hopefully he will continue to be a good baby. It looks very sweet. Enjoy.... Tell the other 3 hello. It is so neat to see the kids growing up. Love Linda Coleman

Joshua is so sweet, it was great to finally see him in person. I cant believe you are doing a remodel with a new baby - either you are crazy or extremely calm and patient, I am guessing the latter. Hope all goes to plan so you can stay calm and patient.

Kristen, it was so great to see you today. I loved every minute of it. Your little Joshua is so precious. He is his own little person. It was so great to finally hold him and witness for ourselves what a great little boy he truly is. And he truly is wonderful baby. You look great too! You seem to be your-self - you know the funny sarcastic beautiful woman I remember before and after pregnancy. I loved laughing with you and Angie today - like the old days! Our time together made me realize that our friendship goes too deep to ever change too much. You will always be my BFF ;-) and I will always be your loyal fan. Seriously all joking aside - I love you and your adorable little family. Love, Heather

Wow! I can't believe you are doing this either. Does it look like it will be done this weekend? I hope so. Maybe you already told me it was done, sorry. I forget...
Again, what a cute baby you have.
