5th Grade Promotion

I remember when Jacob was in Kindergarten and driving to drop him off at school in June and saw all the chairs set up for the 5th grade promotion assembly. In my mind I thought, "One day that will be Jacob and your life will be completely different than it is at this moment."

Let me tell you how different my life is!  I have 4 kids instead of 3, 3 of my children are in school every day, my afternoons are filled with shuttling kids to and fro, Saturdays are taken over by sports games, and the 4:00 hour is the worst part of my day! It is crazy to me how in just 4 years I have entered a whole new stage of life and I love it.  My kids are growing up and I love seeing them develop and grow into their own person.  Aside from not being too neat or tidy and occasionally talking back, they are wonderful and well-behaved kids!

There were some tears during the 5th grade program and feeling sad that he's growing up. Then I looked up at Jacob on the stage and just felt so much gratitude to my Heavenly Father for blessing me with such a good son. He is filled with so much happiness (and goofiness!) and wants so badly to make the right choices in his life.  What a good example he is for me!

LOVE THESE TEACHERS!

I am so grateful that Jake has had his best friend Wyatt to go through these elementary school years with.  They are just like brothers (and can fight like brothers sometimes!) and are always there to support and back each other up.  Jacob had bully problems with some boys this year and it would've been much more difficult if he didn't have Wyatt there to be his friend everyday.

The thought of Jake going to middle school had me kind of freaked out and once I get the blog caught up you'll see how he's doing so far :)

I am freaked about that stage in life but you make it look okay. :)

I'm glad Wyatt and Jacob are still friends. I remember them being best buds back in the day in CTR 6/7!

He is so dang handsome, but even better than that, he's beautiful on the inside too. I fear for you when he is in high school. Girls will be crazy of this boy of yours. :)
