I can't believe my baby is 2 now. It just doesn't seem fair that time moved so slowly in the growing up years while I was always anxious to move on to the next phase of my life and now when I want time to slow down it moves too fast. These last 2 years have gone by way too fast for me.
Joshua has been obsessed with Toy Story and more particularly Buzz Lightyear. At least 20 times a day he would ask to watch the "Buzz Show". I must admit that I'm a huge fan of all the Toy Story movies and completely supported his obsession. We'd run around the house shooting each other with our lasers, I'd buy Buzz Lightyear action figures on our Target trips because he would say "Please" so cutely and I couldn't resist, and it would help me remember when Jake and Ryan were little and would play with our array of Toy Story toys.
His 2nd birthday just had to be a "Toy Story" birthday! My family came out to celebrate with us and Josh loved every minute of it.
It was really hard to reign myself in and not buy every single Buzz Lightyear toy I could find but I knew we had a bin in the attic full of our old Toy Story collection. We boxed up those old toys and when he opened the box he just couldn't contain his excitement!
Aunt Sharlene added to our Mr. Potato Head collection and Grandma added books, action figures, jammies, and t-shirts that he still wants to wear EVERY DAY.
(I don't want to make this post about me at all but what is going on with my hair? Seriously.)
His cupcakes had Toy Story pictures on them and he loved eating Buzz's head :)
It was so fun to see him have such a good time on his birthday. I don't know what it is about him, but he just can melt anyone's heart, especially mine. One of these days he'll ask for me when he's hurt or sad instead of Doug, I just know it! Happy birthday, Joshy.
