Over Spring Break we took a trip to the OC to visit my mom and nieces. We thought it would be fun to go rollerskating with the kids. I just didn't realize how fun it would be! We went to the same rink I would frequent as a child/teenager and let me just say that this girl's still got her moves! Oh yeah.....I was totally workin it on that floor!
Riley started off very shakey and not quite sure of herself. By the end of the day she could hold my hand and cruise around the floor with me without falling. Next time she'll be ready to do it on her own!
Jake did a great job out there! He's been on rollerblades many times so he was totally good with being on skates. We had a great time racing each other and then holding hands around the floor. I was hoping for a "couples dance" like we used to do in Junior High but no luck. He loved playing the "Dice Game" and "Red Light Green Light".
Ryan brought his own rollerblades and just cruised around the floor so easily. He didn't like holding hands with his momma but did like to chase her! He found a couple girls about half way through the afternoon that he would race with. He keeps asking me when we can go back!
We had a great time together and are looking forward to going back in the summer sometime!
