What am I going to do with this girl?

I really love having a girl. I'm thankful Heavenly Father blessed with me with Riley amidst all these crazy boys in my house. Sometimes I feel like I short change Riley because I'm not much of a "girly girl" and not always so cute and creative about doing her hair, keeping her out of the dirt, keeping her from being so proud of all the "sounds" that come out of her body, etc. She's become a tough cookie and has brought the boys to tears on many occasions (don't even try to have a light saber match with her, OUCH!), but I guess she's the perfect mix of toughness and sweetness. You should see how she mothers all the little kids in nursery class at church! So cute.
I'm so thankful to my friends and family that pass on cute clothes for her to wear, which saves me TONS of money. That's something I could really get into: clothes shopping! Although, now that I think about it, Riley is not the easiest person to go shopping with. She is quite opinionated (she must take after her dad *wink*) and doesn't like anything that I show her. And forget about shoe shopping with her! She's obsessed with shoes and wants all of the ones that I would never let my child wear in a million years.
To sum up my really random post, I feel like I short change Riley for not being the best "girl mom" (she is in dance classes, though!) but I would hope to think I do my best with her. She's a strong personality that I hope she can use for good in her life. I love her and all the sweet things she says. I love to hear her sing the primary songs and practice her Articles of Faith (she's almost done with #13!). All I can say is thank heavens for little girls!

First I was like, who IS this little girl? ... then I realise she is not a baby anymore! She's Riley and she went and growed up!

How did that happen?
