2nd Place!

Jacob was fortunate enough to land himself on a fabulous soccer team this year. His coach was so awesome and Jacob learned a ton. The coach learned early on that Jacob had some major speed and would call him the "energizer bunny" because no matter where the ball went, you'd soon see Jacob blazing the field to get it. He played midfield (so he could run to offense and defense with his speed) and goalie most games (which made me so nervous every time). The first game of the season he scored the first goal and I think that got the coach's attention and the attention of the other parents because I got a lot of questions on how old he was and how long he'd played. The division he was in was against 8-10 year olds and it was nice to see Jake could hold his own. They had a great season and made it to the playoffs which Jake scored 2 goals in and made some amazing saves as goalie. It was unfortunate they lost the championship game, but they were able to move on to the Commissioners Cup tournament the first of December. We can't wait for next season! (I apologize for the lopsided picture but my dumb computer wouldn't let me rotate it, ugh!)

The tournament games were at night so I needed to bundle up the baby. So cute! (Not me of course, the baby!)
