I'll apologize now for there being no pictures to capture our Easter moments. I wanted to yesterday before we left for church but considering that 2 out of 3 kids were in tears because of something or other, I opted to just forget it and get to church on time.
I hope you all had a great Easter weekend. It was REALLY hot here Saturday and Sunday. We went to the park Saturday for an Easter picnic with some friends and I'm sure all the candy melted in their eggs during the Easter egg hunt. Oh well. That didn't stop them. The kids had great time playing soccer and kickball with the dads and the kids even in the heat. Jacob was super into it and he cracked me up with his competitive attitude and the teenagers got a kick out of it too. Doug pulled a couple muscles running to catch the ball and kicking it over all the kids heads. He kinda forgot he was playing with CHILDREN! It was a great time.
We had a nice bbq that night and the kids were able to decorate their Easter eggs. We traveled up to my mom's house after church and continued our celebration with more egg hunts and fun. Combine that with our ward party last weekend, I'm a little Eastered out but looking forward to 2 weeks of Spring Break! I'm feeling a little better now so it will be good to do some fun activities with kids. Hope you all had a great Easter, too!

Sounds like a nice weekend. I'm hoping you didn't get too many follow-up questions from Riley about Wren's eating habits - that was too hilarious, though!
We are so excited to come and visit you during spring break! What day would be good? Every time I read about little Jake I realize that he is not little any more. He is turning into a big 8 year old! Wow how time flies! We miss you and your beautiful family. Call me or email me soon!

SO glad you are feeling better!!! It was weird not to have easter at the hyder's this year, I feel like we haven't seen you guys in forever!!! That's okay though, I'm too fat, I wouldn't want you to see me:)
