Guess Who's Eight?

Jacob turned 8 last week and we had a great time at his birthday party. To start off the week, we went to the Church bookstore for Jacob to pick out his first set of scriptures. He loved getting his name imprinted on his book and picking out a carrying case. The next day was his birthday party and the kids did a great job helping me get ready for it. Jake wanted an army themed party so we had lots of activities for the kids to do that were army-like. We had a dart game where they shot darts at the enemy tank and hummer. We broke them up into 2 groups for an obstacle course relay race where they had to army crawl under things, cross a balance beam, climb up a rope among other things. The highlight for the kids was when Doug brought out a paint ball gun and they got to shoot at 2 different targets set up across the yard. Talk about a dream for little boys! They opened presents, had army men topped cupcakes and played until their parents came. I made them each camo headbands and dog tags and wristbands which the boys seemed to love. All in all, it was fun and Jake had a GREAT time. We're now looking forward to Jake's baptism on April 12th. Happy birthday, Jacob! We love you.

Sounds so cute and fun. Makes me want a boy! Speaking of having kids... there's a place you can find out the sex of your baby at thirteen weeks! (In case your curious!)
We had a ton of fun with you guys! We'll have to go out again!
