Mother's Day

What a great Mother's Day weekend we had. The kids woke me up Saturday to take me to breakfast which was super nice. Ryan couldn't wait til Sunday to give me his present so he gave it to me Saturday. It was a very cute heart pin which I was instructed to wear to church Sunday. I wore it with pride.




We headed up to Lake Elsinore for Jacob's flag football game. Have I forgotten to mention that Jake's playing flag football? He totally loves it and in 3 games he has scored 3 out of their team's 4 touchdowns (they're not that great of a team, unfortunately) and threw a touchdown pass on Saturday!



Anyway, my mom came out to watch it and then we all headed over to my grandparent's house to help them out with some projects, visit, and go to dinner to celebrate Mother's Day.




On Sunday, Doug and the kids brought me breakfast in bed which was delicious! I loved hearing Jacob, Ryan, and Riley sing to me during Sacrament Meeting. It always makes me cry. It was Riley's first time to go up there and she was super cute and got up there first so she could be in the front. Ryan told me on the way to church that he didn't want to go up there and sing. He was kind of a grump that morning (can't you tell from the picture below?) but he went up there and sang and even smiled at me.


I'm just so grateful to be a wife and a mother. I am FAR from perfect but I feel like most days I am really trying my best to teach them, love them, and make sure they know they are loved by me and their Heavenly Father. Happy Mother's Day to all of you mothers!
