He really loved doing it and actually did a really good job. Doug helped out around the swing set and Jake did the rest. I feel like the last few years of hammering in our Saturday and daily chores is finally sinking in. My boys will get ready for school AND get their morning jobs done without a fight pretty much every morning. Saturdays they are waking up early (Ryan woke at 6:30 last Saturday) so they can get their jobs done and then have the rest of the day to play. I'm about to add some more jobs to their Saturday list but they need to "train" in them first, just like Ms. Meriliee taught me!

Riley and I had a very fun mother/daughter experience. She saw hair rollers at our weekly trip to Target and just had to have them. Who was I to argue, imagining my little girl bouncing around in perfect little curls? Anyway, that night she was so excited to try them out. I was actually a little nervous, but I didn't let it show. I acted like a professional. She first needed a little trim because her ends were a little thinned out and then I rolled her up. Isn't she cute?

I was nervous she wouldn't sleep in them all night or some would fall out and she'd have some straight and some curly pieces which would be so embarassing since she had preschool the next day. However, they all stayed in and she looked absolutely adorable, in my humble totally unbiased opinion. (She insisted I take a picture of the back!)

And the "after" shot. Can she get any cuter? Man, I LOVE this girl.

We're already excited for the next time, which is tonight! She gets her picture taken tomorrow and needs to look her cutest. So fun! (BTW, you can really tell in her pics that her eyes are getting to be 2 different colors. Can YOU tell?)

Mowing lawns in Feb? How quickly I forget that the whole world isn't covered in snow!
I totally haven't noticed Riley's eyes before - how awesome is that?
I blew up Riley's picture so I could see her eyes better. She really does have two different colors. How fun! My sister has two colors too..light brown and black.
Super cute hair on Riley!
Hey! Merrilee is my aunt. I was just thinking about that book yesterday and wondering what Allison should know how to do at age 4. My mom (he sister) on Sunday, just gave me her latest book, Toss the Guilt and Cattch the Joy. I haven't started but I'm sure it will be great. So glad you've been able to have great success with the book!
