Wonderful Weekend

We had such a nice weekend together as a family. We enjoyed watching General Conference and being very inspired by many of the talks that were given. Two of my absolute favorites were on Sunday. Julie Beck's talk about "mothers who know" and Elder Oaks talk about choosing things based on the criteria is it good, better, or best for you. I'm excited to go back and study these and other talks to help me make changes in my life and in my family. Enough of that.

One of the cutest things from this weekend came when I was talking to Ryan about the new counselor called in the First Presidency and explaining to him how that all works in the Church. After we talked for a few minutes he paused and asked in his Mr. Cool way, "So, who's the king of the nice guys?" I asked him, "Do you mean President Hinckley?" He answered, "Oh yeah. That's right. He's the king of the nice guys." While my almost uncontrollable chuckling started I said, "Well that's one way to put it." That kid says the funniest stuff sometimes.

What a sweet boy. I loved Elder Oaks' talk, too. I missed the other one, I need to read it online.
