I don't know why each summer my family needs to spend at least a week of it throwing up. It wouldn't be as bad if they took a day and got it out of their system, But NO! My children do a little one day, wait 18 hours do it again, wait 24 hours do it again, and so forth. We thought we were in the clear Saturday afternoon so we went to Sam's Club to stock up. Nope. Riley had to leave her mark all down the produce aisle, if you know what I mean. Jake spent all Saturday night (and I mean ALL) being sick every 10-15 minutes. You can imagine how I looked Sunday morning at church trying to sign going on 2-3 hours of sleep.
However, by Monday morning all were ok for at least 24 hours so we took off to the beach! We met up with quite a few good friends from the ward and the kids had a blast. There were so many kids, young and old, to keep my kids busy. They're really getting into boogeyboarding (sp?) now and I have some pics I will post soon. Doug has cute pictures on his work camera and they're not downloaded yet so I'm at his mercy to leave the camera with me. Anyway, I'm digressing. The point is, we're all healthy again and having so much fun. We have 3 more weeks before school starts (yuk!) and I'm totally bummed because I've had so much fun with the kids this summer. I love having them with me all day. Let's rephrase that. Most days I love it and some days I want to send them in the backyard and lock the door. The joys of motherhood, right?
